1. Introduction

Welcome to CareerWise ("we," "our," or "us"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the CareerWise website located at www.careerwise.io (the "Service") operated by DILI LTD, a company registered in England and Wales with its registered office at 133 Royal Arch Apartments, The Mailbox, Wharfside Street, Birmingham, United Kingdom.

By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these terms, then you may not access the Service.

2. Description of Service

CareerWise provides intelligent career coaching services including:

• Resume building and optimization tools
• Interview practice and preparation
• Job application tracking and management
• Cover letter generation and customization
• Career guidance and recommendations powered by AI

3. Account Registration and Eligibility

To use our Service, you must:

• Be at least 16 years of age
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Verify your email address during the signup process
• Maintain the security of your account credentials

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. There are no geographic restrictions on the use of our Service.

4. Subscription Plans and Pricing

CareerWise offers the following subscription plans:

• Free Plan: Basic access to core features (1 resume creation, unlimited job tracking)
• Pro Plan Weekly: £5.89 GBP per week (unlimited resumes, cover letters, interview practice)
• Pro Plan Monthly: £14.89 GBP per month (unlimited resumes, cover letters, interview practice)
• Pro Plan Quarterly: £29.89 GBP per quarter (unlimited resumes, cover letters, interview practice)

All subscription fees are billed in advance on the selected billing cycle. Prices are subject to change with 30 days' notice.

5. Payment and Billing

We accept payments through Stripe, which supports the following payment methods:

• Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover)
• Debit cards
• Digital wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay)
• Bank transfers (where available)
• SEPA Direct Debit (EU)

Your subscription will automatically renew unless canceled before the renewal date.

6. Refund and Cancellation Policy

Our refund policy varies by subscription type:

• Weekly Pro Subscriptions: No refunds are provided for weekly subscriptions under any circumstances
• Monthly Pro Subscriptions: Full refund available if you contact support within 7 days of your subscription purchase
• Quarterly Pro Subscriptions: Full refund available if you contact support within 7 days of your subscription purchase
• After 7 Days: No refunds are provided for monthly or quarterly subscriptions older than 7 days
• You may cancel your subscription at any time to prevent future charges
• Cancellation does not entitle you to a refund unless within the applicable refund window

7. Intellectual Property and Content Ownership

Your Content: You retain full ownership of all resumes, cover letters, and other content you create using our Service. We do not claim any ownership rights to your personal content.

Our Service: The CareerWise platform, including its design, functionality, algorithms, and proprietary technology, remains our exclusive property and is protected by intellectual property laws.

8. Third-Party Services and AI Processing

Our Service integrates with various third-party providers to deliver our features:

• AI Services: OpenAI and Google Gemini for resume optimization, interview questions, and cover letter generation
• Infrastructure: Vercel for hosting and Supabase for backend services
• Email Services: Microsoft email services for communications
• Analytics: Google Analytics for service improvement
• Payments: Stripe for secure payment processing

When you use our Service, your data may be processed by these third-party services in accordance with their respective privacy policies.

9. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience:

• Essential Cookies: Required for basic website functionality and user authentication
• Next.js Cookies: Used by our web framework for session management and routing
• Supabase Cookies: For user authentication and database connectivity

You agree not to use the Service:

• For any unlawful purpose or to solicit others to unlawful acts

• To transmit or procure the sending of any advertising or promotional material without our prior written consent
• To impersonate or attempt to impersonate another person or entity
• To upload false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• To interfere with or circumvent the security features of the Service

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DILI LTD shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitute acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and bar access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, under our sole discretion, for any reason whatsoever including without limitation if you breach the Terms. You may also terminate your account at any time by contacting us.
